Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Snowflake Implementation: Implement and manage data warehouses and data lakes on the Snowflake platform. Optimize Snowflake databases for performance and scalability. Oracle Expertise: Utilize strong Oracle database knowledge to integrate and migrate data from Oracle databases to Snowflake. Manage and optimize Oracle databases as required. ETL Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes using tools such as Informatica, Talend, or custom scripts. Ensure data quality and consistency across different data sources. Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize the performance of data integration processes and Snowflake databases. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data ingestion, transformation, and storage. Data Governance: Implement and maintain data governance and security best practices. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to deliver data solutions that meet business needs. Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest developments in Snowflake, Oracle, and data engineering technologies. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and automation. Requirements: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering and database management. Proven experience with Snowflake and Oracle databases. Experience with ETL tools and processes. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Snowflake, including SnowSQL, Snowpipe, and performance tuning. Extensive experience with Oracle databases, including PL/SQL programming. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or similar. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data integration services. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Preferred Qualifications: Snowflake certification (e.g., SnowPro Core Certification). Experience with data governance and data security best practices. Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
