| Location: Seattle, WA-local candidate Client: Starbucks Title: Senior Platform Engineer / Python Engineer Location: Seattle, WA-local candidate Duration: 6 months visa: No H1B/OpT MOI: Skype One round recorded with PV and 1 round with client Need Our client is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer / Python Engineer to join their engineering team. This engineer will also need to be skilled with Infrastructure As A Service and the supporting / enabling tools. Required Skills - Python, Platform engineering, Infrastructure As A Service Job Duties - Platform Engineering using Python Strong understanding of Continuous Delivery and Integration frameworks including deployment automation, configuration management, test, and source code/git repositories; experience with containers desired Experience using Git and continuous delivery build systems (build/test/release infrastructure, Jenkins preferred) Experience and preference for working within an Agile/Scrum environment Knowledge of core internet protocols including, but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP Knowledge of network administration including, but not limited to Load balancers, VLAN, IP sub netting, proxies and firewalls, architecture, and core technologies (DNS, routing, iptables etc.) Experience supporting LDAP services in an enterprise environment" Job Requirements - 8 years software engineering using Python 8 years of experience building automation/configuration management infrastructure such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, and/or Puppet Experience leveraging Docker within a local development workflow 6 years of experience with deployment of production code leveraging Docker containers 3 years of experience in Java, Perl, and/or Ruby Strong background in Linux administration and network administration Experience using cloud services (AWS and Azure preferred); public cloud IaaS and PaaS services Experience with large-scale distributed systems architectures.
