Technical Analyst for Communications Client Name: Commonwealth Of Kentucky Location: Frankfort, Kentucky-Hybrid Position Information: The Department for Medicaid Services is seeking resumes for the Technical Analyst for Communications position. This role is for an ongoing project based in Frankfort, Kentucky. The selected candidate will be responsible for website editing and content management for both internal and external websites. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, communications, information technology, or a related field. 3+ years of experience with website editing and content management. Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Capability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or collaboratively with team members. Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of accessibility and plain language standards. Familiarity with SharePoint or related content management systems. Previous experience in copy editing and website design. Experience with website coding. Responsibilities: Meeting and communicating with Medicaid staff to understand and fulfill website communication goals and requirements. Aligning websites with organizational brand, strategy, and standards. Auditing content to remove duplicate information. Assisting with social media campaigns and other marketing efforts. Conducting tests to ensure website efficiency and quality. Developing strategies to improve website traffic. Creating website content to support organizational goals and strategies. Ensuring website compliance with appropriate laws and regulations, including 508 accessibility standards. Evaluating competitors' websites and following industry best practices. Identifying ways to enhance website user experience. Planning, creating, implementing, managing, monitoring, and updating websites for DMS divisions, leadership, programs, and key initiatives. Producing sitemaps to represent and visualize website structure and functions. Responding to, troubleshooting, and resolving website issues. Updating website coding as needed. Responsibilities Include but are Not Limited To: Working with the SharePoint content management system to edit, review, and update websites. Analyzing and documenting user requirements, procedures, and problems related to website editing and improvement. Serving as a resource and support for DMS staff related to website needs and requests. Assisting current site editors with editing needs. Participating in bi-weekly website editing meetings, identifying agenda items, and communicating needs related to website editing and improvements. Creating and maintaining documentation, including editing and website support requests and website resources.
