| Enterprise Backups Senior Solutions Engineer Candidates must be located in DC metro (DC proper, Prince Georges/Montgomery County MD, Northern Va - This is very important) Interview: Teams Duration: 12 months with a strong possibility to extend to beyond that period Work Site Posture: Hybrid 3-4 days a week at either 2401 Mill Road, Alexandria Va , New Carrollton, MD or L'Enfant Plaza (DC). 40 hours per week (OT must be approved prior by Program and Procurement) We are looking for an engineer to be focused on enterprise back-ups for its on-prem solutions in their data center AND their cloud solutions. They run a couple of backup solutions to meet their needs for business continuity. They are migrating from IBM Spectrum Protect to Oracle's Zero Loss Recovery product. The ideal candidate will have experience with this migration path but a candidate that has used both should work as well. It is also important that the resource has experience in multiple operating systems (Windows, IBM AIX, Red Hat Linux). The other tools that are used include Dell Unity Storage and Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN). A critical component of the backup function at client is to adhere to the chain of custody of PCI data associated with credit card transactions for loading fare cards. It is important that this resource has experience backing up and maintaining that data in accordance with PCI laws and regulations.
