Additional responsibilities include maintainingcorrespondence with Server and SAN admins, keeping up with equipmentavailability levels based on demand, shipping and receiving, deploying newequipment, and retiring depreciated equipment as necessary. Thedatacenter operations team also plays a crucial role in hardwareinfrastructure management such as server rack planning, equipment tracking anddocumentation, forecasting, etc. Hyatt is seeking a Datacenter Operations Specialist. This person willhave a genuine passion for all things hardware and will be well versed in acorporate datacenter environment. The ideal candidate will have experienceracking, labeling, documenting, and cabling servers and switches and will haveboth hands-on and remote experience maintaining a server environment. Basic,rudimentary knowledge of the physical cabling requirements of Ethernet andFiber Channel networks is required. Understanding system redundancy and uptimerequirements as it relates to hardware installation is necessary.
