Job Title: Data Modeler with Payer Location: Remote Job Type: Long term contract Experience: 15+ Years Client Specific expectations: Erwin Data Modelers (must have) Very strong knowledge in SQL / Advance SQL (must have) Familiarity with a good reporting tool e.g. Power BI (nice to have) Payer Experience and Government Programs - Medicare and Medicaid (must have) Requires at least 4 years of prior relevant experience in Data Modeling including Conceptual, Logical and Physical Modeling Requires at least 4 years of experience responsible for the analysis and design of data models at the conceptual, logical, and physical levels and for the development and maintenance of existing enterprise models. Requires at least 4 years of experience in building business semantic layer and canonical models. Requirements: Demonstrate lead-level capabilities in conceptual analysis, problem-solving, and data analysis. Take ownership of initiatives or projects with the ability to lead and facilitate business requirements and data analysis and modeling sessions. Lead data model review sessions; Develop, adopt and mature the data modeling standards and guidelines aligning to industry best practices. Collaborate with subject matter experts, business analysts, data analysts, and other data modelers to create data modeling deliverables. Provide support in the use of enterprise data, including guidance in understanding and exploitation of the underlying data and business models, and identifying optimal data sourcing and mapping. Assist in developing and publishing data management standards, policies, and procedures, including the management and maintenance of related tools and environments. Create fully attributed and documented conceptual, logical, and physical models. Create, validate, and update the data dictionary by coordinating with data governance team and business users. Capture business rules for logical and physical mapping in the models; Work closely with the data governance team to define data classification, PHI/sensitive information, and enterprise reference data in Collibra and modeling tool. Generate physical model DDL and SQL for views for data engineering implementation. Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Requires at least 4 years of prior relevant experience in Data Modeling including Conceptual, Logical and Physical Modeling Requires at least 4 years of experience responsible for the analysis and design of data models at the conceptual, logical, and physical levels and for the development and maintenance of existing enterprise models. Requires at least 4 years of experience in building business semantic layer and canonical models. Demonstrated ability to understand, produce, and extend large and complex data models for operational and dimensional reporting data stores. Experience coordinating information requirements of multiple departments, including assessment of usefulness, reliability, and cleanliness of data from several sources. Ability to effectively present complex technical information to non-technical audiences and to senior decision-makers Experience with ERWIN or ER/Studio as modeling tool is required, with additional Model Mart management experience preferred. Experience with Data Vault 2.0 Strong SDLC knowledge, with excellent process and Strong SDLC knowledge, with excellent process and application system documentation skills Solid understanding of Data Management and Metadata Management processes and principles, with the ability to effectively communicate and sell those ideas to others. Demonstrated success working in a team-based environment. Requires strong decision-making, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills. Excellent analytical skills are required. Strong facilitation and negotiation skills are required. Strong communication skills are required; technical and business writing skills are required. Strong interpersonal skills, with competence in interfacing with business users required. Ability to summarize and present design alternatives. Ability to influence and sell soundness of design and deliverables.
