We are a digital loan origination system for business banking that improves operational efficiency for banks and non-financial institution lenders and their customers by facilitating an efficient workflow that digitizes the experience. We are seeking a Contract Software Engineer with a background in working on Python applications or experience developing integrations against RESTful APIs to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience developing, troubleshooting Python code, familiarity with front end technologies such as React or Angular and familiarity developing integrations using low code platforms such as Workato. The successful candidate will collaborate with product engineering teams to extend the capabilities of Numerateds cutting-edge end-to-end digital platform. The Contract Software Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, implementation and support engineers to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality and innovative solutions. Essential Responsibilities Software Development: Implement integrations with third party services and vendors to the Numerated Lending platform. Familiarity or experience developing back end functionality. Implement and maintain microservices and serverless applications on AWS, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices. Maintain and tactically improve legacy software through refactoring, adding test automation coverage or similar work. Understands and embraces DevOps practices to streamline the software development lifecycle. Collaboration: Collaborate with team members, providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. Ability to work independently and sustainably, but capable of working collaboratively with SMEs and others in the team to solve problems. Qualifications Proven experience with developing application Python code. Ability to independently understand and debug existing code. Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries. Familiarity with front end technologies such as Angular or React. Ability to understand API specs and create an implementation plan. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Nice to have Experience working in a startup environment. Experience with low code platforms such as Workato. Experience developing test automation and Experience in React or similar front end technology. Familiarity with cloud technology platforms such as AWS or GCP.
