Please find the below JD and share your interest, Position: Sr Java Software Engineer with Medical device Location: Arden Hills, MN Locals only Max Rate: $45/ hr on C2C No remote work allowed, onsite from day 1 8+ years of experience with Information technology 5 or more years experience with Java. Knowledge in JIRA or similar tools. Experience in Java programming language and Junit testing. Experience working in Development projects. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical device Design view and testing. Required Qualifications: Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Arden Hills, MN or be willing to relocate to the area. BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field. 8+ years of experience with Information technology 5 or more years experience with Java, C++, Perl/Python programming languages. Should have hands on experience in Unit testing and Integration testing. Experience across full software development lifecycle including design, requirements, implementation, and test. Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical device or other regulated software industry with standards such as IEC 62304 Experience with multi-threaded Java application development on Linux and Windows platforms (Android mobile). Experience working collaboratively with a team of cross-functional engineering disciplines including systems, firmware, and hardware engineers. Experience working with integrated systems involving hardware test platforms and wireless communication technologies including MICS and Bluetooth Familiarity with Atlassian software suite, Eclipse, Ubuntu Linux Responsibilities include: Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, tests software programs using Java, C++, Perl and other current programming languages, methodologies and technologies. Documents software development and/or test development by writing documents, reports, memos, change requests. Methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards Tracks software development effort by creating and maintaining records in the approved tracking management tool. Solves engineering problems by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions. Analyzes, evaluates, verifies requirements, software and systems by using software engineering practices. Investigates, researches, selects software designs, operating systems and/or practices. Continuously improves process and work methodologies by interfacing with peers/cross- functional groups and analyzing activities to improve workflow and work processes. Directs support personnel and project activities. In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Uses discretion, diplomacy, and tact to resolve difficult situations. May escalate serious issues to manager. Participates in the development of less experienced staff by setting an example, providing guidance, and offering counsel.
