Job Title: Data Architect Location: Raritan, NJ (Onsite) Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description: Position Overview: The Data Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data architectures that support the strategic goals of our medical devices organization. This role involves creating and maintaining data models, integrating various data sources, ensuring data quality and compliance, and leveraging data catalogs for efficient data management and discovery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture within the medical devices or healthcare technology sector, along with hands-on experience in data cataloging tools. Key Responsibilities: Data Architecture Design: Develop and implement comprehensive data architectures that support business objectives and integrate seamlessly with our medical devices and healthcare systems. Data Modeling: Create and maintain logical and physical data models, ensuring they meet both current and future business needs. Data Integration: Design and manage data integration processes, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to ensure the efficient movement and transformation of data across various systems. Data Catalog Management: Implement and manage data catalog solutions to ensure data is easily discoverable, understandable, and accessible to stakeholders. Data Quality and Governance: Establish and enforce data quality standards and governance policies to ensure data integrity, compliance with regulatory requirements (such as HIPAA and FDA), and alignment with industry best practices. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to understand data requirements and provide architectural guidance. Compliance: Ensure all data solutions comply with relevant healthcare regulations and standards, such as HIPAA and FDA guidelines. Big Data and Analytics: Leverage big data technologies and advanced analytics to support data-driven decision-making and innovation in medical devices. Cloud Technologies: Utilize cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) to design scalable and secure data architectures. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3-4 years in the medical devices or healthcare technology sector. Technical Skills: Proficient in data modeling, data warehousing, and database management (SQL and NoSQL). Hands-on experience with data catalog tools (e.g., Alation, Collibra, Informatica). Strong understanding of ETL processes and tools. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies. Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, FDA). Proficiency in data governance and data quality management.
