The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of overall experience, including at least 1 year of dedicated experience in prompt engineering. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, test, and optimize prompts for language models, ensuring the outputs are accurate, relevant, and aligned with the desired goals. Key Responsibilities: Prompt Crafting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design prompts that effectively guide language models towards producing desired outputs. Context Building: Develop and refine context for Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance in-context learning through prompts. Output Testing and Analysis: Test and analyze AI outputs for accuracy and relevance by experimenting with various prompts using a prompt test harness. Prompt Techniques: Apply and optimize advanced prompt engineering techniques, including zero-shot, few-shot, and chain-of-thought prompting. Optimization: Implement optimization techniques such as prompt compression to enhance efficiency. User Feedback Analysis: Collect and analyze user feedback on AI outputs to assess prompt performance and make necessary adjustments. Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of integrated prompts within GenAI applications, focusing on response times and overall effectiveness. Responsible AI Practices: Identify and address issues related to bias, drift, and privacy in prompt design to ensure responsible and ethical AI usage. Qualifications: Experience: 5 to 7 years of overall experience in engineering roles, with at least 1 year of specific experience in prompt engineering. Technical Skills: Proficiency in crafting and optimizing prompts for language models. Strong understanding of zero-shot, few-shot, and chain-of-thought prompting techniques. Experience with prompt test harnesses and AI output analysis. Optimization Skills: Ability to implement prompt compression and other optimization techniques. Analytical Skills: Capability to analyze user feedback and monitor performance metrics post-integration. Ethical AI Awareness: Knowledge of bias, drift, and privacy issues in AI, with the ability to design responsible prompts.
