Title: Cloud Architect Location: 100% Remote Duration: 6 month VISA: GC and USC MOI: SKYPE Need LinkedIn with Photo JOB DESCRIPTION: Required Competencies PLEASE ONLY SEND ME SENIOR AWS AND AZURE INFRASTRUCTUREARCHITECTS CANDIDATES WITH 10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. Create and maintain enterprise-grade tools to manage cloud accounts, including master policy guardrails and the account-managements tools to implement procedures to ensure secure use of cloud infrastructure. Provide customers with guidance on best practices for working in the cloud and assist them in learning how to do so securely and efficiently while minimizing costs. Provide senior IT management with guidance on cloud infrastructure usage and planning. Provide senior IT management with guidance on possible near-term advancements in the subject area. Actively keep current with ongoing developments in best practices and technology changes in the cloud ecosystems (as demonstrable through certification programs). Work closely with the security and networking teams within Enterprise IT to ensure that all cloud infrastructure meets industry standards and best practices, and to assist them in creating policies and procedures around cloud computing. Collaborate closely with DevOps team members to assist in the development of a robust continuous integration / continuous development (CI/CD) pipeline for software development. Work with DevOps team members to ensure awareness of best practices and standards for using the cloud environment in developing software, websites, and other digital assets. Collaborate with UT ITS as needed for services such as network integration, domain name service, or identity management. Interact across department boundaries to lead cultural change in support of cloud adoption and demonstrate results with creative and scalable solutions. Assist customers with guidance on how cloud computing might best fit their needs and assist them in maximizing the utility and efficiency of their use of the cloud through demonstrations, proof of concept development, and education on best practices. Assist customers with instantiating robust and highly secure infrastructure and accounts on the cloud. Collaborate closely with other IT teams at Dell Medical School and UT Health Austin as well as other members of the University as needed to implement industry best-practices cloud infrastructure to support the missions of Enterprise IT. Provide didactic or other sessions to inform customers of the benefits of using cloud platforms and best practices for efficiently and securely working in the cloud.
