Required Skills Education Level: Bachelor's Degree (In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.) 8+ years of total experience with recent 5+ years as a focused Performance Engineer with focus on Mainframe (MQ, CICS, IBM z/OS, AIX). Seeking IBM z/OS performance engineering/capacity planning experience Must have end to end application performance experience to assist with analyzing/troubleshooting performance issues. Performance Monitoring Tools: Experience in TMON or other mainframe z/OS system monitoring tools Proficient with RMF, RMF Tools and Monitor III usage and functions, SMF, and system monitors to perform z/OS and subsystem performance and capacity analysis. SYSPLEX Environment experience = BIG PLUS Big Plus: Knowledge in SAS and MXG, statistical and analytical skills. AIX/NMON desirable, especially from MXG. Very desirable running SAS/MXG from Windows or other non-Z platform. Knowledge of configuring and trouble-shooting IBM WLM (service classes, reporting classes, performance goals, capacity capping, and velocities, etc..) Experience in MQ, CICS, DB2, and DB2 distributed Performance Monitoring Tools: Experience in TMON or other mainframe z/OS system monitoring tools acceptable Excellent knowledge of hardware infrastructure IBM z13, EMC/VMAX, DLM and HCD. Business application workload sizing and capacity forecasting Ability to Lead/participate in resolution of complex z/OS problems Strong skills to effectively communicate complex technology solutions across diverse audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, and vendors.
