The IT Business Analyst is responsible for gathering and documenting the technical requirements, conducting walkthrough and design sessions. This position will work closely with Product, Strategy, Integration & external teams to document high-level requirements, detail technical requirements, create and organize Jira tickets, work with architect, developers and QA to deliver the features and enhancements as required. Essential Responsibilities: Conduct requirement sessions with business and product owners and document the high-level requirements. Conduct technical design sessions, and collaborate with architects, developers and QA to build detailed technical requirements. Create Jira tickets, organize and assign them to appropriate team members, conduct standup calls and report status updates. Collaborate with the Product Owner, developers and QA to plan and schedule the development. Standardize and document the requirements processes / procedures for development with external partners. Communicate progress, status, issues, and resolutions to various business units, management and Executive Leadership via verbal and written status reports. Lead and/or coordinate resources in various phases of the software development life cycle, including specifications, development, QA, delivery, and bug fixes. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, delegate, and make decisions with minimal supervision. Critical thinking skills to understand how to translate customer needs into technical decisions. Participate in, lead, and help execute on the overall Technology Strategy, Plan, and product roadmap doing so in collaboration, coordination, and communication with the rest of the company leadership team and appropriated resources. Position Scope: Supervisory Responsibility o This position is a consulting role within the organization that may provide consultative supervision of the reporting. Confidentiality o This position has access to highly confidential information, which will require exceptional confidentiality to protect the privacy of clients as well as intellectual property. Independent Action and Judgement o Must be able to make decisions concerning responsibilities with regard to priority and be disciplined and organized in the efficient use of time. Contacts Internal/External o This position will have contact with staff at all levels within the organization, up to and including senior management. The successful applicant must be able to communicate well with internal employees and stakeholders.
