Responsibilities and Skills: Job ID: VA-738408 Location: Richmond, VA (City of Richmond) Duration: 12 Months Required skills and experience: Skills : Manage assigned projects (including planning, monitoring, and controlling) from concept through execution Required 10 Years Organize project activities into manageable work efforts and determine an effective approach to completing the work, as outlined in project plans Required 10 Years Collaborate with staff across all levels to ensure high-quality deliverables and excellence in client satisfaction Required 10 Years Recommend process changes that remove silos and foster collaboration, efficiency, and modernization in operations Required 10 Years Manage business process re-engineering initiatives Required 10 Years Conduct and facilitate Business Process Mapping (BPM) sessions Required 10 Years Provide an analysis of processes including gaps, value propositions and recommendations Required 10 Years Review city ordinances and state code for alignment with current and new business processes and operating procedures Required 10 Years Develop centralize document management system Required 10 Years PMP designation and/or Agile Scrum Master Certification is preferred Highly desired 7 Years Relevant project management experience developing, managing, and implementing multi-disciplinary project deliverables pref. within utilities and govt Required 10 Years Extensive experience conducting stakeholder interviews, workshops, and managing process re-engineering initiatives Required 10 Years Overview The Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects that support upgrades and replacements of enterprise technology systems, conducting discussions, and workshops with a broad audience of stakeholders. Essential Duties: Manage assigned projects (including planning, monitoring, and controlling) from concept through execution Organize project activities into manageable work efforts and determine an effective approach to completing the work, as outlined in project plans Collaborate with staff across all levels to ensure high-quality deliverables and excellence in client satisfaction Coordinate and adjust work efforts with the team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of the agreed-to schedule Monitor and report on project activities Manage business process re-engineering initiatives Recommend process changes that remove silos and foster collaboration, efficiency, and modernization in operations Conduct and facilitate Business Process Mapping (BPM) sessions Document current as-is business processes, capturing redundancies, gaps and inefficiencies Provide an analysis of processes including gaps, value propositions and recommendations Provide an assessment of capabilities and limitations of current and proposed business practices using industry best practices Document the envisioned to-be business processes (mapped) to the appropriate solution Document additional business processes /practices as needed Review city ordinances and state code for alignment with current and new business processes and operating procedures Develop centralize document management system Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications BA/BS degree or higher in Business, Technology, or related field of study is required PMP designation and/or Agile Scrum Master Certification is preferred Advanced proficiency in project management concepts, especially the coordination of cross-functional projects. 10+ years relevant project management experience developing, managing, and implementing multi-disciplinary project deliverables with minimal supervision preferably in utilities and government Extensive experience conducting stakeholder interviews, workshops, and managing process re-engineering initiatives Excellent oral and written communication skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially in Visio, PowerPoint, TEAMs, and Project Management software Knowledge / experience in CIS/CRM/Field Services systems and operations preferably in government and utility operations High degree in professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the position Ability to lead meetings and discussions with employees in all roles and levels Ability to successfully manage project schedules and workload Keywords: business analyst information technology Idaho Virginia IT Project Manager : Richmond, VA (Hybrid) : 12 Months Contract [email protected] |
