| Job title z/OS Systems Programmers Location New York City, NY- Locals preferred Visa No H1b Key Responsibilities: FISA-OPA has a vacancy for a z/OS Systems Programmer whose primary responsibility will include: Ongoing maintenance (install, patching, upgrades, administration, etc.,) of the mainframe z/OS operating system, accompanying storage systems and systems software products (e.g., database, transaction server, security management, scheduling, report distribution, etc.), and UNIX Systems Services. Upgrades of mainframe and related storage. The candidate will be required to provide production off hour coverage (if necessary) and support periodic weekend implementations. Mandatory Qualifications: ALL CANDIDATES MUST MEET ALL OF THESE MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS The candidate must have experience with VTAM and TCP/IP. 10+ years of experience working with z/OS, JES2, SMP/E, TSO, IOCP/HCD. Basic IBM utilities (IDCAMS, IEFBR14, etc.) program product installations, working knowledge or the IBM virtual tape system and Unix System Services. Experience in using monitoring tools such as OMEGAMON. Working with an enterprise wide, large-scale implementation. Excellent communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required. The candidate must have experience with mainframe CPU installs as a systems programmer consultant. Education: Bachelors degree or 10+ years of experience in relevant technical field is required.
