The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with MuleSoft and be adept at integrating a diverse set of system endpoints, primarily involving Mainframe systems (COBOL, CICS, DB2) and Java applications. This role requires a deep understanding of legacy systems and modern integration practices to ensure seamless communication and data flow between various platforms. Required Qualifications: MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect or Developer certification. Experience in the public sector or similar highly regulated environments. Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies. Experience Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in integration architecture and development using MuleSoft. Technical Skills: Extensive experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Data Weave. Strong knowledge of Mainframe technologies, including COBOL, CICS, and DB2. Proficiency in Java programming and understanding of Java-based applications. Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services, and API-led connectivity. Familiarity with various integration patterns and best practices. Key Responsibilities: Architect and Design Integrations : Develop and implement integration solutions using MuleSoft to connect Mainframe systems (COBOL, CICS, DB2) and Java-based applications. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices in integration design, development, and deployment. Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyse integration requirements, translating them into technical specifications. Integration Development : Design, develop, test, and deploy integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API-led connectivity, Mule ESB, and Data Weave. Performance Optimization: Optimize integration solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring minimal impact on legacy systems. Documentation : Create comprehensive documentation for integration solutions, including design artifacts, technical specifications, and deployment guides. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for integration solutions, addressing issues related to connectivity, data transformation, and system performance. Security and Compliance: Ensure that integration solutions adhere to security policies and compliance requirements, including data protection and access controls. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to ensure successful integration project delivery. Continuous Improvement : Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in integration and legacy system modernization, recommending improvements and innovative solutions. Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and mentor development teams. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
