Position Name APIGEE Architect Type of hiring Contract Location Alpharetta, GA (Onsite Hybrid role) Required Skills - APIGEE , GCP (Google cloud Platform) Job Description: Responsibilities: Architecture Design: Design and architect scalable and resilient solutions using ApigeeX on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to meet business and technical requirements. Implementation and Configuration: Implement and configure ApigeeX components on GCP, including API proxies, API products, security policies, traffic management policies, and integration with backend services. Solution Design: Architect end-to-end API management solutions using the Apigee platform, considering scalability, security, and performance requirements. API Design: Design RESTful APIs, define API specifications, and establish API design best practices to ensure consistency, usability, and maintainability. Integration: Integrate Apigee with backend systems, cloud services, and external APIs to enable seamless data exchange and interoperability. Security: Implement security controls, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and threat protection, to secure APIs and protect sensitive data. Performance Optimization: Optimize API performance and latency, monitor API usage and health metrics, and implement caching and rate limiting mechanisms to ensure scalability and reliability. Governance and Compliance: Establish governance processes and controls for API lifecycle management, versioning, documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards. DevOps Integration: Implement DevOps practices and automation tools to streamline API deployment, testing, monitoring, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Documentation: Create comprehensive API documentation, including API specifications, developer guides, and usage examples, to facilitate adoption and integration by internal and external developers. Qualifications: Proven experience as an Apigee Architect or similar role, with experience in designing and implementing API management solutions. Designing and architecting ApigeeX solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to meet business requirements. Leading the implementation of ApigeeX API management solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Implement security best practices and policies for APIs, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Deep understanding of RESTful API design principles, microservices architecture, and integration patterns. Expertise in Apigee platform features, including API proxies, policies, analytics, and developer portal. Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages. Knowledge of API security standards and protocols, including OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS, and API key management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose effective solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
