Role: AWS Engineer Location: Remote Duration: 6 Months Contract to Hire Visas: GC/USC/H4EAD/GCEAD MOI: Skype JOB DESCRIPTION: Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering AWS Certification 3 5 years of extensive experience of AWS cloud related services (compute, storage, network, messaging and automation)including design, maintenance and operations. 5 - 7 years of professional experience with exposure to Application Development, DevOps, and System Administration. Expertise required: AWS EC2, ECS, , S3, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, IAM Java, REST, JSON, Web Services and a scripting language Configuration and automation tools, such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Salt. Relational database technologies (e.g., SQLServer) Linux/Unix and/or Windows administration Source code management tools such as Git and Subversion Performance tuning, including load balancing, web servers, content delivery networks, caching Networking and core Internet Protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and routing in distributed networks Scheduling and orchestration with tools such as Kubernetes Cloud migration techniques (on premise to Cloud Platforms) AWS Pricing Methodologies Strong project management skills with the ability to manage a portfolio of initiatives. Strong knowledge of Agile / Scrum / DevOps development methodologies along with CI/CD frameworks and tools such as Jenkins. Strong knowledge of security architectures across infrastructure and applications including encryption techniques along with an understanding of AWS IAM, role based access controls, network ACLS, and Security Groups. Detail-oriented, self-starter demonstrating a positive attitude.
