| Role: Network Engineer Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid) Max rate : $50/HR on C2C CLient : TCS Only Visa Independent (H4/GC,GC-EAD,USC ) JD: New technology rollouts or transformation Projects Participate in improvement projects (E.G. Tech Refresh) LAN, WAN, WLAN Design and Architecture Project scoping Provide onsite and or remote support as needed for LAN & WAN Infrastructure installation relocations for new site implementations and office moves Coordination of network circuit provisioning and upgrades Support for enabling new features in existing Infrastructure (mass rollout). Operational Support Proactive monitoring of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Optimization Solarwinds, Cisco Prime, Cisco WLC Management, configuration, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure devices and systems Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, Cisco Access Points, Cisco WLC, Riverbed steelhead, F5, Infoblox, Zscaler Management, configuration, and troubleshooting of switching features and protocols VPC, VRF, HSRP, Port-channel (PACP&LACP), STP, VTP, VLANs, SVIs, SNMP, port mirroring, TACACS, Radius, trunking, QoS, Multicast, POE, LLDP, CDP Management, configuration, and troubleshooting of routing protocols Static, EIGRP, BGP Management and configuration of F5 load balancers GTM, LTM Use, management, and configuration of internal Infoblox DHCP and DNS server IPAM, DHCP Scope creation, alias records, fixed IPs, reservations, forwarders WAN and internet monitoring and router management; Netflow, bandwidth monitoring, analysis of traffic usage, Troubleshoot voice quality and routing issues Management, configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco Prime networking and ops center SNMP, Syslog, Netflow, Reporting, Alert configuration, Configuration archiving, etc. Coordination with CoLo/Datacenter Administration Use of network diagnostic and configuration tools (Putty, Cable tester, toner, Console cables, etc.) Ticket Management Incidents tickets and service request ticket resolution within agreed KPIs for network hardware, routing, switching, WLAN, and optimization services. Raising incident tickets with service provider in case of outage and act as technical focal point for circuit issues. Coordinate with local site contact for service provider issues and access Raising tickets with OEM Vendor for RMA and technical troubleshooting Cisco, Riverbed, F5 Raising tickets with other SABIC teams for escalation or local hands & feet Network security, Window, Deskside support, etc. Liaise with service desk to create and follow-up tickets Other Maintain and update Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Analyze vulnerability and compliance reports received from the scanning team and remediate in line with SABIC procedure for network platform vulnerabilities. Creation of high-level and low-level network documentation Visio diagrams, Excel, Word Creation of change management requests and presentation of change plans to change management board for approval. Required Network Engineer skills: Over 7 Years of experience managing Cisco Network switches and wireless APs. Strong understanding of OSI Model and TCP/IP Demonstrated experience in executing Infrastructure or End user services projects Demonstrated experience in working with multiple vendors. Proven communication skills when working with other technical towers to work out issues. Strong leadership skills when troubleshooting across multiple platforms and working out technical issues for project planning. Strong cultural awareness Strong Understanding of Copper Ethernet (CAT5e/6/6A, etc.) cabling requirements and limitations Strong Understanding of fiber optic Ethernet requirements and limitations (SM/MM, ST, LC, transceivers, SFPs, QSFPs, etc.) (Desired) Familiarity with IT/OT (manufacturing) and EHSS (physical security) networking environment and requirements (Desired) Previous experience configuring Cisco or Palo firewalls. (Desired) Previous experience configuring Cisco Voice Gateways.
