| Job Title: Point of Sale (POS) Engineer Location : Media, PA(Onsite 4 days a week) relocation is fine Visa : Open(No H1B) Job Description We are seeking a skilled POS Engineer to join our team for a critical Point of Sale (POS) upgrade project. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in scripting, deployment automation, and managing upgrade processes for POS systems. Key Responsibilities: > Scripting and Automation: Develop, test, and maintain deployment scripts to automate the POS upgrade process. > Deployment Management: Coordinate and execute the POS system upgrades across multiple locations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. > System Integration: Work closely with the IT team to integrate the new POS system with existing infrastructure and software. > Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the deployment process, providing technical support and solutions. > Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for the deployment scripts, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. > Quality Assurance: Ensure the upgraded POS system meets all performance, security, and reliability standards through rigorous testing. > Qualifications: > Technical Skills: Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), deployment tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet), and version control systems (e.g., Git). > Experience: Previous experience in managing POS system upgrades or similar projects is highly desirable. > Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently. > Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and meticulousness in script development and deployment execution. > Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document complex processes clearly. > Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
