Job Title: SAP CAR Techno-Functional Consultant Location: 100% Remote Duration: 12+ Months Contract Job Description: POSITION OVERVIEW : We are looking for an experienced IT professional within an application delivery team focused on the design, development and implementation within SAP CAR to process sales and business transactional data from a new Point of Sale technology solution. The ideal candidate excels at solution design, techno functional specification writing, and complex problem solving for the SAP CAR module, specifically web services to parse data and custom loader programs to consume data into POSDTA. The ideal candidate is focused on delivering with speed, accuracy, and making a positive impact on strategic projects within the company. RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrate subject matter expertise in SAP CAR and integrating with other SAP modules and non-SAP solutions. Knowledgeable in the technology supporting multiple business functions or supporting technologies. Designs, configures, tests, debugs, documents, and collaborates with product development teams on packaged and custom software solutions Author documentation such as techno functional specifications ensuring all details of designed solution ensuring integrations, dependencies, configuration, mapping, test cases and business process rules are included to support a new Stores Point of Sale (POS)effort and the larger SAP roadmap plan Works closely with BASIS, external consultants, cross functional technology associates and business partners to support the new POS project implementation and future implementations including SAP S/4. Responsible for the full systems development lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation of various functional architecture solutions Develop, prototype, test and implement solution improvements to increase stability, usability and functionality to enable end users to meet business objectives Research and analyze complex issues surrounding business processes & technology Support the identification of enhancement opportunities to improve processes and system configuration that supports the customer-focused approach, but ensures compliance to the business management goals and objectives Perform other duties as necessary Heres what an ordinary day might look like : With the initial focus on delivering a Stores POS pilot solution in SAP CAR, a day in the life will span responsibilities focused on problem solving, researching the existing custom programs while authoring techno functional specifications to support the build effort. Responsibilities to include collaborating with key partners, aiding in the execution of smoke, functional, and integration testing through consultation on defect resolution and redesign where necessary. Once the POS Pilot is achieved, a day in the life will shift to a roll out of long-term SAP CAR solution for the balance of the stores and S/4 upgrade. QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent from accredited four-year university 5-10 years of experience with configuration/enhancements within SAP FI-CO & CAR Proven track record of aligning IT initiatives with business needs Strong presentation and communication skills (oral and written) Retail or Consumer Product Goods Industry experience Systems implementation & project management skills including requirements gathering, detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, cut-over and support Business process analysis and redesign experience: strong business analysis skills; process mapping; business process redesign and implementation Ability to relate technical ideas and functionality to non-technical users, such as prototyping and creating business presentations, or articulating and selling best practices to business executives If you are interested, please share your updated resume and suggest the best number & time to connect with you.
