Role : Splunk Developer Location: Remote Job Description: Design and Implementation: Develop and implement Splunk solutions to collect, index, and analyze machine data from various sources. Create and maintain Splunk dashboards, reports, and alerts to support business requirements. Data Management: Configure and manage Splunk forwarders and indexers. Ensure data integrity and accuracy by developing and implementing data parsing and transformation rules. Performance Optimization: Optimize Splunk queries for performance and efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Splunk performance, data ingestion, and log parsing. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures within Splunk to ensure data protection and compliance with company policies. Monitor for security incidents and provide incident response support using Splunk. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with IT and business teams to gather requirements and deliver Splunk solutions that meet their needs. Provide training and support to end-users on how to utilize Splunk effectively. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest Splunk features, best practices, and industry trends. Propose and implement improvements to existing Splunk implementations. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered. Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience working with Splunk, including developing custom dashboards and applications. Proven experience in system administration, log management, and data analytics. Skills: Proficiency in Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) and advanced search techniques. Strong understanding of regular expressions and data parsing. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell. Familiarity with network protocols, system logs, and security concepts.
