Will this role work remote/In Office/Hybrid Remote. Primary job duties/responsibilities: Hands-on knowledge of SMP/E to Install, maintain, and configure base DB2 system libraries. Configure and maintain DB2 data sharing across multiple Sysplex environments. Manage and maintain IBM DB2 databases, ensuring their availability, security, and performance. Design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements. Collaborate with the development team to ensure database solutions are integrated with applications. Perform database backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures. Monitor database performance and tune as necessary to optimize performance. Nice-to-have skills: 1. BMC DB2 Tools 2. DB2 Performance and Tuning 3. Data Replication / DR What type of education is needed for this position Minimum: Bachelors Degree. Is industry experience needed for this role and why Yes.
