Job Title : Azure APIM/ Architect Location : Washington, DC Interview : Video Interview Job Description: The Azure API Management Technical Architect will act as a lead, providing mentorship and creating design documents for future use cases. They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining API management solutions to ensure seamless integration and communication between different software applications. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the design and architecture of API solutions using Azure API Management services. - Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices in API development and management. - Create comprehensive design documents that can serve as a reference for future use cases and development efforts. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of API solutions. - Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in API management and incorporate them into the organization's practices *Actionable Tasks * Configure an API/Products/Subscription Implement capabilities to test API through APIM (performance/scalability) Developer portal overview Customize options for Developer portal Implementation of OAuth 2.0/API keys or JWT Tokens or Cert Integrate with Azure B2C or Azure AD RBAC on API's/Users and access levels Throttling/Rate limiting/ Usage limits API documentation/Testing Self Service Capabilities for Obtain keys/ rotation of keys Monetization Module when exposing API's to clients **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Technical Architect with a focus on Azure API Management. - Strong understanding of API development lifecycle and management principles. - Experience in designing and implementing API solutions in a cloud environment. - Excellent communication and leadership skills. - Ability to create detailed design documents and mentor team members. **Preferred Skills:** - Certifications in Azure and API management technologies. - Experience with Agile development methodologies. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
