Must have experience with Cognos 11.1.7 to 11.2.4 USC/GC Job Title: Cognos BI Developer Location: Remote Duration: 1 Year We are seeking a seasoned Cognos BI Developer for a one-year project, responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing reports and dashboards using Cognos Business Intelligence tools. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Cognos Report Studio, Framework Manager, and other Cognos tools, as well as expertise in working with SAP/Hana databases. Key Responsibilities: Report and Dashboard Development: Design, develop and test reports and dashboards primarily using Cognos Report Studio, Framework Manager, Query Studio, and other Cognos tools. Framework Manager Modification: Modify Cognos Framework Manager to facilitate the migration of reports, queries, and dashboards from SAP AFS-based data models to SAP S4/Hana data models. Version Migration: Migrate existing reports, queries, and dashboards from Cognos version 11.1.7 to 11.2.4 Project Delivery: Ensure the timely delivery of all project deliverables in accordance with the project schedule. Process Improvement: Suggest and develop improvements and solutions to existing problems, and design and implement technology best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes. Production Support: Provide production support and ensure reporting jobs are completed on time. Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more areas within the department as needed. Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with users and other team members to gather requirements and perform business intelligence design focused on enterprise data warehouse reporting solutions. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience. Experience: At least 4 years of experience in designing Cognos Framework Manager (FM) models and developing reports, and dashboards using Cognos in an enterprise database platform. Over 2 years of experience in writing SQL. Full understanding of the report development lifecycle from an operational database into a Data Warehouse, resulting in a Cognos report. Prior experience in troubleshooting report and query problems and applying performance improvement techniques. Technical Skills: Exposure to database integration techniques, including data modeling, data normalization, and other relevant data manipulation and data exchange technologies is a plus. Certifications: Cognos Certification is a plus. Key Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
