| Role Title: Sr. Power BI Developer Client charter City: Arden Hills, MN (Need Candidate with DL from MN) Visa USC GC GC-EAD H4EAD 6 to 12 months duration to start 1-2 days onsite Responsibilities: The Sr. Power BI Developer will be responsible for defining the reporting solution and required data architecture. Their main focus will be creating standardized Power BI reports and semantic models. In addition, they will promote best practices, user adoption, and train others as needed. Initial scope of work: Transition management system reports into Power BI dashboards Enhance report visualizations to make the data more insightful/actionable Additional elements that enable the reporting: Evaluate data pipelines & data storage. improve/automate where we can. (ETL tools, SQL database, etc.) Get off of MS Excel based processes Report Development Understanding Power BI as a Platform Elicit requirements Capture value with this program Qualifications: Top soft skills: 1. Effectively convey complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders. 2. Facilitate clear and concise communication between team members and departments. 3. Respond flexibly to unforeseen issues or changes in project scope. 4. Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT and business users Top hard skills: 1. Proficient in creating, managing, and optimizing Power BI reports and dashboards. 2. Strong understanding of Power BI's DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query. 3. Ability to map Tableau features and functionalities to Power BI equivalents. 4. Skilled in designing and implementing efficient data models. 5. Proficient in transforming and integrating data from various sources for Power BI. 6. Expertise in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure smooth data migration. 7. Knowledge of best practices for data visualization and user experience in Power BI. 8. SQL query proficiency Nice to have: 1. Alteryx would be a nice to have 2. Manufacturing experience. 3. Experience working with manufacturing data. 4.
