Profile Summary:

This position is for a Senior Product Manager to develop Product Roadmap and Business Requirements for a Large eCommerce retailer out of the Bay Area. The Product Manager will
be tasked with innovating, designing and facilitating the agile implementation of product features for an inhouse built pricing system to enhance the user experience for multiple brands across Merchandising systems. The ideal candidate will have Product Management
experience in Retail Supply Chain management and specifically, Merchandising Systems and pricing management applications.

The ideal candidate will have a background in retail merchandising systems, with specific experience in price creation and management including regular price, markdown, promotions.
Complexities include pricing rules, approval workflows and associate discount policy. Experience building business solutions and related UI/UX a plus.

Responsibilities :

Work with various Business and IT eCommerce teams to facilitate and implement the Merchandising Systems Roadmap including measuring feature effectiveness and value.

Partner with Technical Project Managers to lead the execution of projects for various WSI brands

Serve as primary liaison between Technology, Creative, UI and Business teams

Attend project meetings and provide status reports to the business team

Work with the Senior Management to define and lead an omnichannel pricing and promotions systems strategy and roadmap

Facilitate troubleshooting and resolution of project issues

Acts as an owner, mentor and product category expert. Builds strong cross functional relationships by approaching all interactions with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Develop business requirements for Merchandising Systems enhancements, features and functionality

Educate Brand teams and Stakeholders on recommendations, guiding discussions to consensus and driving action items

Develop high-level business requirements and detailed user stories

Recommend and facilitate cross-concept initiatives and features

Assists in definition and management of project scope and subsequent change requests

Assist in the definition and implementation of new processes as they relate to new features

Gather, track and report metrics and key performance indicators for new features and functionality

Educate the business team on new application and processes related to platform and feature enhancements and ensure the team is equipped and trained appropriately

Evaluate alternative operational efficiencies and business process change

Facilitate User Acceptance Testing

Track and report on issues and solutions and escalate when appropriate

Provide support to Business and IT teams where necessary

Operate a computer and communicate via telephone

Criteria

5+ years in product management or business analysis roles

Bachelor's degree in computers, engineering or equivalent experience.

Experience working within Scrum or other Agile environments

Deep experience in Merchandising systems, specifically product information management, pricing and PO management systems.

Experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale Supply Chain or eCommerce projects from vision through implementation.

Ability to interface with business as well as technology teams

Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, and evaluate new ideas with partners across the organization.

Stellar communication skills and an ability to lead and influence others.

Strong interpersonal skills/team player and demonstrated the ability to work with various teams harmoniously while keeping project releases on time and on budget

Strong drive towards execution; can-do type of person

Ability to perform work in one of our corporate office in a hybrid manner 4 days per week.

Specific Responsibilities

Uses established project management methodologies/tools to develop and execute IT project plans. Responsible for Williams-Sonoma SDLC compliance.

Performs all of the project manager duties plus:

Uses established project management methodologies/tools, work with team to successfully manage complex scopes of work(s), which include defining work effort and estimates,
developing effective team execution plan(s), supporting teamwork effort by removing impediments, anticipating issues, and ensuring right parties are engaged to resolve problems. Performs financial management of the project: budgeting & forecasting, cost benefit
analysis, EV/ROI/earn vs. burn analysis, team velocity, etc

Usually manages multiple complex projects simultaneously

Plans, monitors, and tracks delivery of quality control and takes corrective action as appropriate

Develops project policy, procedures and standards

Communicates project information to all project team members, sponsors, vendors and IT managers, as appropriate

Reviews, assesses and communicates quality assurance planning to team members, sponsors, and vendors

Develops project quality control policy and procedures and communication plans

Plans and executes pre and post implementation

Anticipates strategic impact to projects (inter dependencies to/from other projects) Coordinates with appropriate parties

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors

Management may request PM support for special assignments as needed based upon expertise required for difficult or complex problems

Owns project budget. Expected to anticipate budget issues, resolve timely, adjust forecasts, and guide working issue through resolution

Demonstrate good judgment and depth of experience in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

Thorough understanding of project and the cause and effect of team decisions

Recommends project strategy. Clearly articulates explanations of complex regulatory and project issues/risks to team members and management within the organization

Based on tangible and intangible factors, develop recommendations to guide executive management to critical decisions

Decisions may impact external relationships, organizational performance/success and companys reputation in the industry (customers, business partners, etc)

Orchestrates across multiple areas meetings to develop risk mitigation strategies and address critical issues

Form, motivate and lead high-performance cross-functional teams

Build effective partnerships with, and between, the developers, architects, QA Team and product managers
