Job Title: SAP Manager Department: IT Location: Houston, TX Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Solution Design and Delivery: Lead the design and architecture of SAP solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and strategic objectives. Oversee or be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of offerings across multiple areas of expertise. Develop and present innovative implementation strategies, considering clients' budget, cash flow, and time-to-value. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, SAP partners, and other external stakeholders. Collaborate with IT leadership to ensure SAP solutions align with overall technology and business strategies. Facilitate technology-agnostic business capability/process workshops. Project Leadership and Execution: Lead the delivery of a solution business blueprint that satisfies business requirements and enables timely and profitable delivery on projects. Demonstrate the ability to lead across the full lifecycle of large transformation projects, with detailed understanding of all functions and phases required to deliver the program outcomes. Coordinate and maintain change control and testing processes to ensure system integrity and performance. Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Actively participate as a mentor/SME/resource for the internal team and provide input into deliverables as appropriate. Contribute learnings and content from delivery programs to enrich the organization's body of knowledge for the domain or industry. Functional and Technical Support: Provide functional support, prepare unit test plans, test scripts, create test data, test and deploy quality work products, and perform go-live and post-production support. Handle Master Data and Transactional Data Integration from a non-SAP system to SAP. Drive system, project, or enhancement adoption. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Minimum of 5 years SAP Functional Analysis or solution architect experience in ECC 6.0 or later. Extensive prior experience as an OTC team lead or architect. Strong functional knowledge and experience with SD, MM, PP, FI modules, including primary applications, tables, and basic configuration options. Experience with SAP Security and User Management. Ability to quickly grasp and apply ideas, methods, technologies, and solutions in a time-critical and fast-paced environment. Proven analytical, critical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Must be results-oriented with a can-do attitude demonstrating adaptability, flexibility, and resourcefulness. Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective written and oral communications. Strong knowledge of SAP Best Practices. Competencies: Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of SAP modules (SD, MM, PP, FI) and SAP ECC 6.0 or later. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and critical reasoning abilities. Leadership: Proven ability to lead large projects. Collaboration: Effective collaboration with stakeholders, internal customers and partners. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, with strong planning and prioritization skills.
