Sr Oracle PL/SQL Developer Location: Philadelphia, PA Long term Project DHS PMT IT Application Development requires an additional Oracle PL/SQL developer to create back-end software. This developer will work on existing mission critical applications. In this role, the developer must be able to interpret business requirement documents, write functional code and unit test. Additionally, the developer will be required to fix defects in legacy code. The developer should be a team player and excellent communicator and must be able to work with source control on multiple simultaneous branches. Responsibilities . Participate in requirements analysis . Take direction from senior developers . Collaborate with internal teams to produce software . Write clean, scalable code . Unit test and prepare applications for deployment . Revise, update, refactor and debug code . Improve existing software . Create documentation as required . Provide production support . Available to provide third tier support to the help desk on assigned weekends and holidays if needed . Proven experience as a PL/SQL Application Developer using Toad, SQL Plus (minimum 5 years) . Ability to create views, packages, functions, and stored procedures . Ability to work with collections . Ability to work with async processes . Interpret execution plans and optimize queries and functions . Ability to create complex DML and debug . Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills . Attention to detail is of the utmost importance .
