| Hi Contract Role: Lab Technician Manager/ Engineer Location: Mountain view, CA (Hybrid) Rate: 50 Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lab Technician with expertise in managing multiple labs of Mobile devices. As a Lab Technician, a person will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and management of various Mobile devices within our labs. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of hosting machines, identifying and resolving device failures, managing lab inventory, and optimizing space utilization needed for the Labs. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. Proven experience in managing labs or technical environments, preferably with IoT devices. Strong technical knowledge of Hardware devices and their configurations. Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a lab setting. Experience with hosting machine setup, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. Ability to analyze diagnostic data and logs to identify and resolve device failures. Excellent organizational skills for lab management, inventory control, and space optimization. Strong documentation skills with attention to detail. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams Key Responsibilities Include: Setup and configure devices (Mobile, thermostats, cameras, sensors, etc.) in multiple lab environments. Monitor and maintain the operational status of Nest devices to ensure functionality and performance. Troubleshoot device issues and failures promptly, utilizing technical knowledge and diagnostic tools. Manage and maintain the hosting machines connected to Nest devices within the lab environment. Perform routine checks, updates, and maintenance of hosting machines to ensure smooth operations. Troubleshoot hosting machine issues and liaise with IT support for complex technical problems. Identify and analyze device failures based on diagnostic tools, logs, and error reports. Collaborate with engineering or technical teams to resolve device failures and implement solutions. Oversee lab operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and standards. Maintain lab equipment, organize workspaces, and optimize space utilization within labs. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and keep accurate records of equipment and devices. Maintain detailed documentation of lab procedures, troubleshooting steps, and inventory records. Generate reports on device performance, failures, and resolutions for management review.
