Title: Communication Manager State: Atlanta, Georgia Description The Change/Communications Manager ensures that all changes are controlled, including standard changes and emergency maintenance relating to business processes, applications, and infrastructure. This includes change standards and procedures, impact assessment, prioritization and authorization, emergency changes, tracking, reporting, closure, and documentation. The Change/Communications Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing internal and external communication strategies. This role will ensure that all communications align with the City of Atlanta's brand, values, and goals. The successful candidate will have a strong background in public relations, corporate communications, and content creation. Position Requirements Formal Education and Certification College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, systems administration, and/or communications. Knowledge and Experience ITIL v4 experience, with practitioner certification in change management preferable. Use of change management tools. Knowledge of deployment and implementation methodologies (Agile, EDM, infrastructure, etc.) of related technical change management experience. Experience in project management and knowledge of approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle. Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle. Understanding of configuration management principles. Familiar with controls and audit compliance/SOX. Experience with digital marketing, including social media and content management systems. 5+ years of experience in a communications role, preferably within [industry/sector]. Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies. Strong media relations skills and existing media contacts.
