Job Description: As a Software Development Engineer - Java, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. Your extensive experience in Java and related technologies Key Responsibilities : Java Development : Develop Java-based applications, adhering to best practices and industry standards. REST API Development : Design, build, and integrate RESTful APIs to enable communication between different components of the system. MVC Architecture : Implement and maintain applications following the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architectural pattern. Spring Framework : Leverage the Spring framework to build scalable and maintainable applications, including the use of Spring Boot for microservices development. Unit Testing : Create and execute unit tests to ensure the reliability and functionality of software components. Database Integration : Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases for data storage and retrieval. Cloud Integration : Collaborate with cloud services like AWS or GCP to deploy and manage applications in the public cloud. GWS API Familiarity : If applicable, leverage knowledge of Google Workspace (GWS) APIs to enhance application functionality (experience in GWS APIs is a plus). Documentation : Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for code, APIs, and integrations. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. 6+ years of professional experience in Java software development. Strong expertise in REST API development and integration. Proficiency in MVC architecture and the Spring framework. Experience with unit testing frameworks and practices. Hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP Knowledge of GWS (Google Workspace) APIs is a significant advantage. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
