MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Minimum 8 years of experience in the field of networking

Must have hands-on experience with BGP, MPLS, OSPF routing protocols in a large
environment.

Minimum 8 years of experience with Cisco and/or Arista network installations in multiple tier

configurations interconnected over dark fiber.

6 yrs.Experience in deploying Cisco Catalyst / Nexus Switches and NCS routers, with complete

understanding of the limitations of line cards, power supplies and feature-sets.

Experience in MPLS, EIGRP, OSPF, iBGP, eBGP, IS-IS routing protocols

4 yrs. Configuring CORE/PE and CPE routers/switches in a mid to large size organization or carriers.

Detailed understanding of designing and implementing overall enterprise QoS solution, including

queuing for Catalyst, Nexus and NCS products. 2 yrs.

Detailed understanding of deploying management protocols (SNMPv3, Syslog, Netflow,etc.) 4 yrs.

Understanding of optical technology theories and testing including but not limited to fiber types,

fiber terminations, attenuation, power transmission, bandwidth, budget and loss.

Valid/current CCNP certificate.

Strong analytical and conceptual skills.

Ability to work in cross functional teams, excellent attention to detail.

Highly self-motivated and strong customer and quality focus.

Sound problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills.

Experience working with technical and non-technical staff.

Experience reviewing project design and system documents 4 yrs.

Experience is designing including network architectural designs in MS Visio is desired

Familiarity with City of New York network infrastructure environments and processes.

Cloud Interconnect Project Manager (Routing and Switching)

8 years of experience in the field of networking

Hybrid: 3 days in office at 2 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, NY 11201 / 2 days remote

Scheduled Work Hours: Normal business hours Monday-Friday 35 hours/week (not

including mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hours of work).

Cloud Interconnect Project Manager to assist OTI with implementation of Network technologies for key IT projects.

Relevant experience in routing and switching, and datacenter technologies is required. The technical network project manager

will be assisting OTI with architecture design planning and implementing changes, needing to have a deep knowledge in

network routing and switching.

SCOPE OF SERVICES for Network Technical Project Manager Routing and Switching

TASKS:

1. Responsible for the Project Management of the bandwidth upgrade. Perform analysis and design

of the network using primarily but not limited to Arista and Cisco technologies to ensure

minimum impact to services during network refresh activities.

2. Developing project governance, and oversite structure. Develop/review of router/switch

configuration templates for the to-be deployed Arista and Cisco network devices.

3. Escalate risks to the OTI staff and Executive team; manage all risks to completion. Perform SNMP,

syslog, NTP and NetFlow testing.

4. Forecast critical path and provide project plan base-line dates. Coordinate after hours changes

with various agencies, create change tickets, pursue approvals, and respond to any questions that

may be raised by any of the OTI teams.

5. Providing regular status reports to exec management and project teams.

6. Develop and manage project communications plans.

7. Coordinate team resources and OTI internal resources needed for the successful completion of

the network and bandwidth upgrade.

8. Perform analysis and design of the network using primarily but not limited to Arista and Cisco

technologies to ensure minimum impact to services during network refresh activities.

9. Complete router/switch Arista configuration templates for newly deployed devices.

10. Coordinate after hours changes with various agencies, create change tickets, pursue approvals,

and respond to any questions that may be raised by any of the OTI teams.

11. Review/Implement network best practices configuration in compliance with OTI standards.
