The ideal candidate will be proficient in Java programming and have hands-on experience with Rust, bringing together the best practices of both languages to develop robust, high-performance software solutions. Responsibilities: Java Development: Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services. Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices and industry standards. Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting of Java applications. Rust Development: Develop new features and functionality using Rust, integrating with existing Java systems where necessary. Optimize performance-critical components using Rust to leverage its memory safety and concurrency advantages. Write unit and integration tests for Rust code to ensure reliability and maintainability. System Integration: Integrate Java and Rust components seamlessly, ensuring interoperability and efficient communication between different parts of the system. Utilize APIs, libraries, and frameworks to bridge Java and Rust functionalities. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software solutions. Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Document design decisions, technical specifications, and implementation details. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in Java and Rust development. Qualifications: Experience and Skills: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Java development. Hands-on experience with Rust programming, including familiarity with its ecosystem and best practices. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms. Experience with multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization in both Java and Rust. Proficiency in using development tools, such as IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, Cargo, and Rust's package manager. Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
