| Title: Front-End Engineer - UI Developer Location: Houston, TX/ /Hybrid (Only Local Candidate) Visa: GC, USC, H1B Interview: video Duration: 12 months Our client has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Front End Engineer-UI Developer to join their team on a long-term contract basis. Responsible for architecting, developing, coding, testing, and debugging websites and web applications and producing significant enhancements to existing applications. Conduct business process analysis, needs assessments, and participate in design sessions with architects and other engineers to align digital solutions with business initiatives. Highly collaborative/interactive/energetic team of developers, designers, product owners, business & technology driven and client-service oriented team. Develop enterprise-level digital solutions by analyzing, coding, testing, and implementing solutions and by modifying and enhancing existing web applications. Coordinate with business analysts, UX researchers and scrum teams to determine requirements. Perform moderately complex analyses of system requirements and of existing business processes and information systems. Review systems under development and related documentation. Perform peer code reviews and assist in more complex systems planning, scheduling and implementation. Knowledge of enterprise coding standards and hands-on experience in writing more complex code. Must have development experience including but not limited to: o ReactJS: Application architecture, Redux, Unit Testing (Jest, etc), CSS Animations, Responsive Design, Design System prototyping (Storybook), LESS/SASS o Content Management Systems: Adobe Experience Manager or similar (Sitecore, etc.) NodeJS: Webpack, ExpressJS, REST APIs Comfortable on macOS and Linux Github Automation with modern CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, Github Actions, etc) Ability to perform code reviews. Ability to learn new and emerging technologies. Ability to lead a group to consensus, solve problems, and accomplish tasks. General business knowledge and concepts. Must have good communication skills and be able to work well in a team environment. Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment. Additional Preferred Knowledge, Skills or Abilities: iOS/Android native development, Native/open/cloud application development experience Docker, AWS S3, AWS Cloudfront, AWS EC2, Elastic Search, Splunk, Data Dog, New Relic, JIRA.
