| Role: Database developer 12+ Needed Client: Nestle Location: St Louis MO (Remote but once project got confirmed candidate should relocate to ST LOUIS MO ) Visa: USC GC H4EAD Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain complex database systems to support various applications and services. Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and tuning. Collaborate with software developers to design efficient database schemas and models. Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation, including data dictionaries, ER diagrams, and procedures. Conduct regular database performance monitoring and tuning to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and provide technical support to development teams. Stay current with the latest database technologies, trends, and best practices. Develop and maintain SQL scripts for automation and deployment. Utilize both database-first and code-first approaches to database development as appropriate. Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Database Developer or in a similar role. Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL Server or similar. Proficiency in SQL and experience developing complex SQL queries. Strong understanding of database design principles, data modelling, and normalization. Experience with database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization. Experienced in software development lifecycle and packaging database changes for C# or similar applications. Knowledge of database security practices. Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with replication, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
