Location : MOSTLY REMOTE in Richmond, VA (Candidate must pick up equipment and attend onsite meetings when requested with notice) Our client is looking for a Microsoft Power Platform Consultant for a MOSTLY REMOTE position based out of Richmond, VA. Responsibilities: The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) seeks to digitize and automate current paper-based records to streamline access to information across the agency. VDH is digitizing its paper-based records for storage and management in SharePoint. VDH seeks a SharePoint Consultant to support the digitization effort by creating and managing SharePoint sites for customers across the agency. Advise customers on SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform features and how they apply to their unique needs. Implement an agencywide records and document management automation system. Collaborate with stakeholders to create consistent user-friendly design and implementation approach. Understand and apply records management principles/rules based on individual customer requirements. Create complex workflows and business processes using Power Automate. Apply user UI/UX best practices to ensure 508 compliances, adherence to VDH design standards and provide a seamless user experience. Understand and troubleshoot security issues, customer questions and other inquiries as needed. Understand and apply VDH approved standards and processes. Develop a SharePoint Records Center using retention labels to manage required retention policies, creating and managing file plans and building simple workflows and processes. Develop solutions that comply with existing security protocols and guidelines. Identify and escalate items that are significant and thereby affect development design/approach/solution. Engage in consistent and ongoing interactions with customer subject matter experts. Facilitate trainings and education opportunities. Other duties as needed. Requirements: Previous experience as a SharePoint or Microsoft Power Platform Develope. Developing custom SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform solutions. Implementing records and document management systems. Creating complex workflows and business processes using Power Automate. Ability to manage Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance Center. Experience with SharePoint site creation, UI/UX Design, document library configuration, view creation, and metadata.
