From: Divakar Kumar, NSD International [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Request Title: L2 Cisco/Aruba Network Engineer (Route/Switch & SDWAN) Desired Start Date: 6/17 Duration: 6 Months, Hrs/Wk:40.00 Work Location: Fort Mill, SC (Remote, Travel + EST & CST Only, GC or Citizen Only) Description: Work location : Remote (look for EST/CST based candidates) Travel : Right now the position is for remote but there is a chance in the future that there might be some infrequent travel. So need to be able/willing to travel (with notice), but it isn't expected to be frequent. Note : Please look for 10+ years experienced SME level candidates. Also, this is a possible contract-to-hire position so please look for candidates who wont need sponsorship at any point. 1) Strong/Senior L2 Engineer Candidate - this is primarily project implementation work. The L2 will be getting templates and direction from an L3, but they should be able to work independently from those instructions with minimal oversight. They will need product experience and be on the stronger end of L2 just given the nature of our work. 6-7+ years of relevant IT experience including strong history of implementation work. 2) Core Technologies: Cisco/Aruba Network Engineer- Route Switch and SDWAN- certifications are desirable, not required. They will be working primarily on branch cutovers and route/switch configs/deployments. Candidates can be stronger in one SD WAN product or the other. Need solid core networking background and solid conceptual understanding of SDWAN. 3) Location: this is a REMOTE role, however the preference is east or central time zone, given client locations. They are currently traveling 1-2 times monthly to client sites 4) Schedule: Primarily leans Eastern business day however. This role will include lots of cutovers- so each week they should anticipate approx. 4 hours of off hours or weekend work for cutovers (will be able to adjust their work week to offset those). The primary responsibility of the Technical Services Implementation Engineer (L2) is to provide technical support to NTT clients. This includes remotely supporting clients within service level agreements (SLAs), to install and configure software and hardware, resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis and adhere to any related processes such as change management. This role is involved in more complex environments for installation, configuration and fault management. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Interact with clients on site to meet complex requirements of a solution. Escalate unresolved problems and issues to the relevant third parties. Respond to escalated client requests and support client applications to a first line resolution. Escalate complex problems to the relevant third parties. Write reports and proposals and complete and maintain project documentation. Assist with the documentation of standard operating procedures relating to installations and fixes. Act as coach and mentor to more junior Implementation Engineers and Technicians. Assume responsibility for the co-ordination of the activities of the Engineers, in line with performance targets. May be required to serve periodically on the customer service desk, providing third line telephonic, remote and on-site support and problem management. Included in higher complexity design work, with input to the design expected. Expected to take ownership of relevant technologies according to domain or specialization.
