Candidates with Salesforce Einstein AI exp would be required!! The DOL prioritizing hiring a Solution Architect, theyre interested in someone who also has experience as a technical architect and is comfortable getting into the weeds of technical decision-making if necessary. This role would not be responsible for directly managing an engineering team and would primarily partner with and direct implementing vendors. What youll do: As a Technology Architect, you will provide technical leadership, support, and direction to DOL and its external vendor teams who are implementing and/or maintaining a product for DOL. The Technology Architect will report to the Associate Deputy Commissioner of Technology, Analytics, and Digital Transformation (ADC), who oversees the Agencys technology modernization, digital transformation, and data analytics initiatives. Role Objectives: DOL is currently engaged in defining the business process flows with our implementation vendor and will kick off implementation for the new Salesforce application in July 2024. In your first few months youll have the opportunity to help lay the foundation for DOLs success. Requirements You'll be a good fit for this role if you have experience: Leading development teams and reporting to executives. This is a senior role. You will be in a position to provide guidance and set direction related to advanced technical concepts. You will also be expected to coordinate and communicate with both business and technical stakeholders, requiring excellent communications skills, both verbally and written. Working with large-scale web applications. The solutions you will oversee will be available to millions of Massachusetts constituents. Software projects at this scale present specific complexities and challenges, and we think youll be most successful if you have previously held a senior technical role on at least one large scale software project. Modern tools and programming languages. We would like you to have deep hands-on experience with a few of these things, familiarity with most, and willingness to be proactive and learn about these or other technologies: o Salesforce understanding of traditional Salesforce CRM platform and recent technologies including LPI modules, DataCloud, Einstein and DocuSign. o Data management and reporting - RDBMS and NoSQL databases, cloud-based and data warehouses (e.g. MuleSoft, Tableau, Snowflake) o REST API frameworks in a variety of language(s). o CI/CD and DevOps tools o Automated testing frameworks and tools o Mobile application frameworks (e.g. React, Xamarin, Salesforce Lightning) Working on projects with external vendors. Many of our product teams are composed of both external vendors and internal team members. We will rely on you to advocate for DOL with our vendors, directing them to ensure that the vendors team is delivering high-quality software on time and according to agreed-upon functionality. We will also rely on you to help build expertise internally on the solutions delivered by our vendors to ensure they meet the short and long-term technology roadmap we have created. Ability to see the big picture, but dive into the details. As the lead Technology Architect, you will be responsible for the overall technology delivery and should have the technical depth to dive into the specifics of each aspect of the solution, including the software development, data engineering and analytics, QA processes and User Experience (UX). Preferred Experience with the following: Experience in both waterfall and agile software delivery methodologies. SaaS and IaaS: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Salesforce cloud, Snowflake, others Performance testing and tuning.
