Job Title: Product Manager with Akamai Location: Kansas City, MO or Atlanta, GA or Dallas, TX (Hybrid, Remote is fine for good candidate) Duration: Long Term Experience: 12+ Years Must-Have: Jira Akamai Jira Align Confluence Schedule / Project Management Required Skills: 12+ years of software industry experience, including platform & systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience. Web, digital, large-scale applications, and/or APIs engineering & operations are a must. 7+ years of people management experience leading teams to deliver technical programs or products from inception to delivery, operations, sustainment, and DevOps. Experience communicating and representing work to senior leadership and framing discussions to gain valuable feedback and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products. Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems. Experience establishing and leading teams through multi-disciplinary relationships, including product management and engineering to drive product impact. Coach and mentor other scrum masters on our team Acting as a Scrum Master for the team Play a role in performance management, giving personal feedback to team members Develop and manage project timelines and resources utilizing Agile methodologies for various size projects Oversee the deliverables of cross-functional teams, vendors, and business resources Define requirements, estimate resources, schedule deliverables, budget and manage costs, motivate teams, resolve conflicts, assess and reduce risks, and adhere to standard methodology and quality processes Develop and proactively manage project plans specifying goals, strategy, scheduling, and identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources Fosters open communication across teams cross-functionally within the organization to identify cross-team development dependencies and expose risks early and often Preferred Qualifications : Experience with organizational design and building teams for scale. Experience managing managers.
