| TITLE Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer OPEN TO C2C Yes LOCATION Candidate must be local to DMV area (MD, DC or VA Only) ROLE Hybrid VISA USC, GC **Note:** Hybrid position requiring on-site presence in DC offices once every two weeks. * Candidate MUST reside in the Washington DC, MD & Va area. ** Excellent Communication skills a must Microsoft Azure Certification in specialized areas is required. Qualifications Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science. The equivalent combination of education and successful work experience (10 years) and Microsoft Azure Certification in specialized areas is required. Experience: 3+ years in designing and maintaining public/Gov cloud solutions, focusing on Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS. (Gov Preferred) Knowledge of IP subnetting, Network Security Groups, routing, Azure Firewall, load balancing, DNS, and other networking concepts. Experience with applications migration from on-premises (VMware) to Azure (Gov preferred). 3+ years in IT administration/engineering managing Windows and Linux servers and services. Expertise in Azure CLI, PowerShell, ARM Templates, Azure Networking, and Site-to-Site VPN. Intermediate knowledge of Azure DevOps, Azure Security Center, and Azure Identity Management. Experience with cloud monitoring tools (Azure Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, Application Insights). Experience with DevOps practices, Infrastructure-As-Code, CI/CD, and automated testing. Knowledge of cloud security services and policies. Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Azure Gov cloud, or AWS CloudFormation IaC tools. Scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar. Pyspark experience preferred. Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL. Technical Skills: Independent judgment and action-taking ability. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Job Description Position Overview / Responsibilities Architect, design, deploy, and manage Azure Gov IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS services and solutions. Implement and maintain Azure Gov Cloud tenant, including migrating workloads from on-premises (VMware) to the cloud. Ensure alignment of project designs with architectural vision. Conduct analysis, design, and implementation of infrastructure and cloud data center solutions. Design and support hybrid cloud solutions. Communicate and implement architectural vision across teams. Provide technical leadership on complex projects. Develop and manage a cloud strategy, including cost management. Implement tagging strategies for cost rebilling, reporting, and compliance. Proficient in core Microsoft technologies and services. Design, build, upgrade, and decommission various Windows and Linux systems, features, and services including but not limited to: Active Directory (Azure AD) Azure Storage (Blob, Files, Disks) App Services BCDR (Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, Recovery Vaults) Networking (vNets, Subnets, Express Route) Virtual Machines Liaise with third-party suppliers to resolve issues. Create supporting documentation for diverse audiences. Knowledge of RESTful API, Web Services, XML, JSON.
