The GIS Technical Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining geographic information systems and databases. This role requires expertise in GIS software, data management, spatial analysis, and cartography.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience working with GIS software and technologies (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, FME) Strong proficiency in spatial data management, analysis, and cartographic techniques Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for GIS automation and scripting Knowledge of database management systems and data modeling principles Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously.Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field Experience with web-based GIS technologies (e.g., ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise) Knowledge of remote sensing and image processing techniques Familiarity with GPS, surveying, and field data collection methods Expertise in transportation domainResponsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain GIS databases, including spatial and non-spatial data.
