From: Ravina, Vyze Inc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Tittle: DATABASE ANALYST LOCATION: ONSITE, TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA (local) Visa: H1B, OPT EAD, GC, GC-EAD, H4EAD,USC (NO CPT) General Characteristics Responsible for designing, modeling, developing and supporting Database Management Systems (DBMS). Analyzes data requirements, application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schema(s), and then designs, develops, amends, optimizes, and certifies database schema design to meet system(s) requirements. Gathers, analyzes, and normalizes relevant information related to, and from business processes, functions, and operations to evaluate data credibility and determine relevance and meaning. Develops database and warehousing designs across multiple platforms and computing environments. Develops an overall data architecture that supports the information needs of the business in a flexible but secure environment. Dimensions Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of IT work experience in DBA, DBMS design and support and relevant computing environments. Complexity: Intermediate professional level role. Designs and supports DBMS of low to medium complexity. Works on one or more projects as a project team member or sometimes as a project leader. May coach more junior technical staff. 1.1 POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES The Consultants responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: a. Review current database structures/Schemas and ETL processes for understanding; enhance documentation of existing structures/schemas and ETL processes; and identify and implement improvements; b. Implement processes to ensure accuracy and quality of data as well as data security; c. Develop and maintain data catalog, data dictionary, and business glossary; d. Design, develop, and modify data infrastructures to improve and expedite data analysis and reporting; e. Provide support to ensure seamless data migration strategy ; f. Identify and define data requirements as it relates to integrating new technology or new initiatives; g. Handle day-to-day management of assigned projects and prioritize workload to ensure project deadlines are met; and h. Write technical procedures and documents. i. The Lottery reserves the right to extend or expand the statement of work of the resultant Agreement to other related projects. 1.2 PREFERED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE a. 8+ years of experience as a database analyst with Oracle, PL/SQL, Data Governance, Data Warehousing, ETL Processing, Data Modeling and Data Migration; b. Ability to communicate technical information effectively; c. Ability to work well with other team members in both application development activities, as well as troubleshooting issues; and d. A four (4) year degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
