Job Title: AWS Database Administrator Location: 100% Remote Work Duration: Full time position Only Green card holder & Us citizen (NO C2C) Database Administrator (DBA) should be able to handle tasks on a hybrid environment in on premise and AWS cloud which include deployment, administration and optimization of databases hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. Deploying and configuring Oracle 19c (and later versions) database systems both on EC2 as well as an RDS instance Performing routine maintenance tasks like Oracle backups, restores, and security measures to ensure the integrity and availability of data. This includes monitoring database performance, diagnosing and resolving issues, and optimizing database configurations for better performance. Debugging DB Job failures (such as archive logs, backup, failures, increasing swap space Monitoring database performance metrics and scaling database resources up or down as needed to accommodate changes in workload. Optimizing database queries, indexes, and configurations to improve performance and reduce latency. Setting up Rubrik reports and Rubrik Agents on DB EC2 servers for Infrastructure reporting. Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect databases from unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats. This may involve configuring AWS security groups, IAM (Identity and Access Management) policies, encryption, and compliance with industry standards. Implementing strategies for high availability and disaster recovery to ensure continuous access to data in case of system failures or disasters. This may involve setting up multi-AZ deployments, database replication, failover procedures, and automated backups. Automating DB tasks such as patching, updating variable sets, analysing metrics disk space using Ansible.
