Role: Sr. UI/UX Designer(Healthcare) Location: Albany, New York Duration: 23 Months Job ID: SLG - 19 - 9004 Client: NY State Respond by Date: 05/07/24 5:00 PM Description This position will fill a key role on priority projects in support of the New York State Office of Mental Healths mission. The goal of the NIMRS Rewrite project is to rewrite the New York Status Incident Management and Reporting System (NIMRS), an existing application built on an aging infrastructure and antiquated technologies, to ensure continuity of reporting incidents under Part 524 of the NYS Rules and Regulations. The key role of this position is to analyze all business requirements to design user interfaces. This will help facilitate the team to build a system that meets the user experience needs. Other OMH applications will also need assistance with UI/UX design. Duties Work in a collaborative team environment that includes project management, business analysis, information development, software development and quality assurance. Analyze business requirements to design user interfaces. Evaluate user interface designs and write user interface specifications. Build wireframes using Balsamiq if needed from business analysts. Utilize UXPin to build mock ups to demonstrate designs to the team and to users. Provide web templates of prototypes (upon teams agreement) using Bootstrap and other web programming technologies to provide for use by the development team. Work with developers to implement the designs. Ensure that the visual structure of the UI remains consistent across multiple components/browsers and meets accessibility standards. Carry out usability testing of the designs and analyze results of usability testing. Assist with continually updating and maintaining OMH UI/UX Standards and Design guide. Follow all UI/UX standards while designing. Mandatory Requirements Experience (10+ Years) Produces and maintains websites, including web graphic design; interface design; authoring standardized code and proprietary software; user experience design; and search engine optimization. Requirements This is an 100% Onsite 84 Months Experience in web-based application user interface design which leverage emergent technologies and accessibility standards defined in World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). 84 Months Experience in user interface design using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Balsamiq, UXPin or other visual design and wire-framing tools. 84 Months Experience with building mock ups and prototypes of user interfaces. 60 Months Experience and knowledge of using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and responsive design coding for mobile devices. 60 Months Experience in web designing using Bootstrap framework. 60 Months Experience working with TFS/Azure DevOps and navigating projects in Visual Studio. 48 Months Experience troubleshooting styling and browser compatibility issues. 48 Months Experience with designing web based health care applications. 48 Months Experience working on applications which contain Health Care data that fall under HIPAA Protected Health Information (PHI).
