We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our growing team. You will play a key role in ensuring the optimal performance, security, and scalability of our mission-critical databases across various platforms. This includes expertise in both NoSQL (DynamoDB, DocumentDB) and SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) technologies. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of database management, from initial setup and configuration to ongoing optimization and troubleshooting. Responsibilities: NoSQL Expertise: o Install, configure, and manage DynamoDB tables and DocumentDB collections o Design and implement efficient data models for NoSQL databases o Optimize query performance using DynamoDB global secondary indexes and DocumentDB projections o Manage access control and security for NoSQL databases using IAM policies SQL Expertise: o Install, configure, and administer PostgreSQL and MySQL databases o Design and implement normalized database schemas for relational databases o Perform database performance tuning and optimization using query analysis tools o Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions for SQL databases General DBA Tasks: o Implement and maintain comprehensive database security policies and procedures o Automate routine database administration tasks using scripting languages (Python, Bash) o Develop and execute a robust backup and disaster recovery plan for all databases o Monitor database performance metrics and proactively identify and resolve issues o Provide technical support to application developers and business users regarding database access and functionality o Stay up-to-date on the latest database technologies and best practices for NoSQL and SQL platforms Skills Required: Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) with a minimum of 3 years of experience Strong understanding of both NoSQL and SQL database concepts and principles In-depth knowledge and experience with: o DynamoDB and DocumentDB (AWS NoSQL services) o PostgreSQL and MySQL (relational database management systems) Experience with database security best practices, including access control and encryption Experience with database backup and recovery procedures Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) highly preferred Keywords: green card Database Administrator- Remote [email protected] |
