Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Lead the technical team responsible for executing the on-premises to GCP migration. Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals. Migration Execution: Oversee the migration of x86 workloads and related infrastructure to GCP according to defined move group plans. Ensure timely completion of technical tasks and resolve technical escalations within the scope of work. Infrastructure Readiness: Ensure the GCP environment is ready for workload migration, including network configuration, security, and compliance with company standards. Collaboration: Work closely with application teams and other stakeholders to understand technical requirements and ensure a seamless migration process. Security & Compliance: Implement security hardening measures and ensure patching compliance on all migrated workloads in GCP. Documentation: Create comprehensive component sheets for each move group and maintain technical documentation related to the migration. Required Skills: Extensive experience in data center migration to public cloud, specifically GCP. Strong understanding of GCP and AWS cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP certified. Experience with Windows/Active Directory administration. Expertise in cloud backup, network technologies, and virtualization technologies. Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a technical team. Desired Skills: Certifications in GCP or related cloud technologies.
