| Client: General Reinsurance Corporation Title: Sr. Guidewire Business Analyst Location: Stamford, CT Hybrid onsite 1 day a week (every Wednesday) Duration: 12 months + (Potential for Extension) Job Description: We are looking for a Sr. Business Analyst with at least 5 + years of experience and Reinsurance or Property and Casualty P&C Insurance experience. ***Hybrid onsite 1 day a week in Stamford, CT and MUST be Wednesday*** Top Desired Skills: - At least 5+ years of experience as a business analyst or business systems analyst experience - Reinsurance or P&C Primary Insurance (Life and Health experience is NOT helpful) - - JIRA, Azure Dev Ops or other tracking systems experience for agile requirements - Must have some testing experience UAT - Driven, self-starter, strong communication, high attention to detail and soft skills The BA will work on the following projects: New Application Development Project for Underwriting Document Generation and Workflow Processing (70%) Vendor Application Decommission / Data Migration Project for Claims Processing (30%) Requirements: 5 years+ total work experience as a Business Analyst required; experience as a BA on 2+ major (multi-year) application development projects preferred Reinsurance experience preferred, primary insurance required 2+ years experience working with applications supporting one of Property, Casualty, or Ocean Marine business lines is required. Life and Health insurance is not relevant. Required to report to Stamford, CT office 1 day a week on Wednesdays. Business Analysis: Help lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions by collaborating with business stakeholders to identify and analyze business requirements Document business requirements and document process flows Document epics, features, and user story requirements in Azure DevOps (Jira is also fine) for software development based on the defined business requirements Maintain the product backlog with groomed user stories representing the full scope of the project Develop acceptance criteria and confirm definition of done for user stories Create and maintain additional project artifacts related to the user stories such as process flows, wire frames, etc. Testing: Work with Product Owners to create, define, and document UAT test case framework, test cases, and test scripts aligned with user stories Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) feedback understand, enter, and manage defects in Azure DevOps including determining the severity and priority of the defect Manage periodic testing review calls to enable a continuous feedback cycle between the product owners and the developers Other: Participate in sprint planning and other agile ceremonies Strong communicator who can develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and other members of the project team Attend meetings as required, provide documentation and note-taking for the meetings as requested Additional Skills & Qualifications - Reinsurance - Strong testing experience - Global company experience working with global business users and stakeholders Employee Value Proposition (EVP): 1.
