Provide an overview of Client to any newly hired CIO, DFO or Supt (as warranted) to include, Client policies, standards, and procedures and how they apply to the district. Provide in-depth and ongoing Client -specific and general technology guidance to all newly assigned CIOs Serve as the OET primary escalation point for all district related Client issues and initiatives. Take action to resolve Client vendor related issues that are above the ability of the district to successfully resolve Coordinate, review, and validate the annual Digital Readiness Report submitted by each district within the respective region. Coordinate and review the annual Technology Activity Report (TAR) submitted by each district within the respective region. Coordinate and review the annual Top-5 Customer Survey to be submitted by each district within the respective region. Ensure Client Standards are communicated and maintained. Review and approve school district submitted School Technology Checklists (Building and Wiring Checklists) for new construction projects. Coordinate technical problem resolution between the local school district, partner/vendor community and the appropriate OET Service Teams. Serve as the acting liaison between local school districts and OET for any technology-related issues regardless of Operational Division Provide guidance on the Federal E-rate Program, as well as periodically monitor district participation in the program to ensure maximum benefit across program guidelines.. Work with the district leadership to identify all programmatic funding sources and work with the CIO and/or CFO to maximize the use of these funds. Support and participate in all STLP Regional and State events. Market the value of our Client Contracts in an objective fashion, and provide continual feedback into the process to improve the state technology service offerings. Serve as the school districts' advocate with OET Leadership and help provide the district perspective when policy and project decisions are being made. Meet with school-level and district-level personnel as requested by district leadership to provide thought leadership on technology issues and assist with technology discussions. Facilitate partnerships between regional K-12 technology organizations; work with them to promote effective technology learning and positive group discussions for the growth of the participants. Provide assistance and guidance to CIO's and/or District Leadership in focusing on establishing visionary decision-making, based on research and data sources to enhance student learning. Establish effective relationships with Educational Cooperatives in not only providing education technology services to school districts, but also in participating in state shared services. Work with local districts in the implementation and support of state managed services which includes coordination and scheduling of equipment, readiness of district and implementation of products in both product management and project management Coordinate with and present at KySTE state and regional events and conferences. Present as requested at districts events (e.g. board meetings). Schedule and Coordinate participation in the monthly Education Technology Leaders Webcasts. Review District Technology plans annually to ensure compliance of state and federal technology requirements. Attend and participate in the regional Technology Integration Specialists meetings Apply and Issue EILA credit to our regional technology leaders. Communicate technology specific requirements for all online testing activities. This position will require periodic availability outside normal business hours to ensure that the supported systems are operating as intended and time sensitive deliverables are addressed, and seasonal extensive travel within the assigned region. This position will require occasional travel and overnight stay in Frankfort, Ky. for staff meetings and office-level functions.
