Role: Sr. MS Access Database Developer Location: Albany, New York Duration: 30 Months Job ID: HBITS-05-13449 Client: NY State Description Act as Expert Software Developer working for NYS Information Technology Services on behalf of the NYS Department of Transportation to fulfil the duties as described below. Duties Act as a Lead developer on all assigned projects. Designing, coding, testing, and debugging agency applications. Perform the application maintenance activities for application systems Analyse current or as-is states of business processes, functions and process models. Work with key program area stakeholders to elicit requirements from business users as the foundation for developing solutions to the organizations business need for new/redesigned systems. Articulate and communicate key design patterns and business process requirements to IT staff, program staff and stakeholders. Collaborate with the IT and program area leads to translate program area requirements into technology requirements and recommend viable technical options. Develop test scenarios, scripts and data and evaluate test results. Monitor system testing and assess the impact of errors on system functions during and after implementation; and Write system documents and train users on new IT system or business process functions. Mandatory Requirements Experience (11+ Years) Is involved with all facets of the software development process, including the research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software. Requirements This is an 100% Onsite 84 months experience developing and supporting Microsoft Access databases. 84 months experience with writing application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions. 60 Months experience with accounting applications. 60 months experience with large-scale relational database systems. 24 months hands-on experience with DBASE.
